Nortel opens South African training centre

24 January 2008

Nortel has opened a training centre to provide Nortel enterprise product training covering data, voice and unified messaging.
"Four additional experienced staff have joined Nortel from TTS Grintek, which previously provided the training on behalf of Nortel," said Nortel country manager Magda Engelbrecht.
"This underlines our commitment to the South African market and to providing high-quality training to our customers wherever they are located." The Nortel training centre will be relocated to the Nortel office in Sandton during Q1 of 2008.
The training centre forms part of the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) which includes 85 in-house professional staff and 50 instructors, with access to an additional 100 instructors.
The aim is to also ensure that sales, administrative and management staff have the correct level of technical knowledge, and have cost-effective training options to meet their specific needs.
