Imation adds smallest USB flash drive to product lineup

17 July 2008

Imation has announced the availability of its smallest USB flash drive, the Imation Atom Flash Drive.
Roughly the size of a paperclip, the Atom Flash Drive is the smallest among Imation's flash drives, measuring less than 3,8 cm long and 1,27 cm wide, and weighing less than an ounce.
“Just as the atom refers to the smallest molecular particle, the Atom Flash Drive refers to the smallest portable storage device in our extensive portfolio, said Imation country manager Peter Welsh.
Using the Imation system in package (SIP) module, the Atom drive allows you to store up to 8 GB of data, while the password protection and drive partitioning capabilities safely and efficiently manage your information - all with a smaller footprint than previously available from Imation.
