India-based services provider Infosys Technologies has developed a sensor-based technology platform for retailers and consumer-packaged goods companies.
It said ShoppingTrip360 uses a network of wireless sensor-based applications within the store to deliver information about shopper behaviour in realtime. It said it also enables retailers to know the total number of shoppers and monitor shelf-level inventory of fast-moving products without using RFID tags.
