Dell has upgraded its Latitude laptops and Dell Precision mobile workstations with the addition of longer battery life, upgraded security, and a new design.
The company said the Latitude E4200 and Latitude E4300 are ultra-portable, while the Latitude E6400 and E6500 are for high-performance users. It said the semi-rugged Latitude E6400 ATG meets military 810F standards for dust, vibration, and humidity.
The Latitudes offer battery life of up to 19 hours, and ControlPoint for power management, connectivity configurations, and security management. The E6500 also includes smartcard and fingerprint readers.
The Precision M4400 and M2400 mobile workstations offer up to 8 GB of RAM, a 1 GB graphics card, and up to 1 terabyte of storage on two drives.
Jeff Clarke, senior vice president at Dell, said: "The new Latitude laptops and Dell Precision mobile workstations represent the largest client product development effort in the history of Dell. The portfolio has features that enable better security, manageability and productivity."
