Centralised control

1 October 2008

Falcon Electronics has announced the KM0832 KVM switch, which gives IT administrators in large corporations advanced control of multiple servers. Operators working at up to eight keyboard, mouse, and monitor consoles can simultaneously and independently take direct control of up to 32 computers. With a combination of daisy chaining and cascading, up to eight consoles can access and control more than 8000 computers. This unit is completely multiplatform and supports PC, Sun and Mac. The unit also offers great hardware flexibility by being able to offer PS/2 and USB compatibility on both the server and the console. The high density port configuration allows datacentre admins to leverage its space saving design as well as use their current infrastructure cabling solutions.
