Four new Phaser printers

1 May 2006

Xerox continues to grow its 40-strong small and medium-sized office printer range with the introduction of the Xerox Phaser 7400 colour printer, and the Xerox Phaser 3425, 3122 and 3117 laser printers.
"Productivity and value are essential to the success of any small and medium-sized businesses, and the Xerox Phaser range delivers just that," says Ernest Leong, OPB channel manager at Bytes Document Solutions, the authorised distributor of Xerox products and solutions in sub-Saharan Africa. "They perform faster and better, are easy to use and are reliable and versatile. Supported by a printer environment that has these attributes, customers can focus on their business."
The Xerox Phaser 7400 enables the printing of high-quality spreadsheets, brochures, presentations and other business-critical documents at 36 pages per minute (ppm) in colour or 40 ppm in black and white. It supports A4 and letter-size paper, media sizes up to 12" x 18" and heavier media weights up to 270 gsm. Finishing features not previously available in the Phaser range, such as booklet making, saddle stitching, stapling and hole punching for up to 1000 sheets, are now available as optional extras.
"Consumables that can be replaced by users are now top-loading so that toner cartridges, imaging units and other consumables can be replaced without pulling the printer away from the wall or turning it around," Leong says. "Network connectivity is also a standard feature on all configurations of the Phaser 7400."
The Xerox Phaser 3425 prints in 1200 x 1200 dots per inch (dpi) at speeds up to 24 ppm, with a first-out page time of 13 seconds. The Xerox Phaser 3425 and 3425PS, with built-in postscript, are both equipped with 32MB of memory and 266 MHz processors. The devices print on a variety of media, including transparencies, labels, card stock postcards and envelopes.
At 16 ppm and 20 ppm, the Xerox Phaser 3117 and 3122 printers are equipped with 150 MHz processors and 8 MB printing memory. Both devices fit easily on the desktop with a compact footprint and handle a variety of paper sizes and media. They also offer poster printing and watermark printing capabilities.
"Cost savings are built into all the printers in the Phaser range, with the print job cancel features and toner save options helping businesses save paper, ink and time spent collecting and discarding unwanted prints," Leong says. "The new Xerox Phaser products strike the perfect balance, giving customers high-quality prints while delivering the cost-saving features that small and medium-sized businesses need."
The Phaser EX7750 enables the creation, management and production of high-quality colour documents such as brochures, personalised mailers, catalogues and posters.
